Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) refer to the protection granted to creations that arise from human intellectual abilities in the fields of art, literature, science, aesthetics, and technology. These creations are intangible assets resulting from a person’s or a human’s intellectual capabilities. Intellectual property refers to creations of the mind: inventions, literary and artistic works, and symbols, names, and images used in commerce. Intellectual property is categorized into two main types: Copyright and Industrial Property Rights. Through these intellectual works, we can also gain insight into the growth and development of knowledge, art, literature, and even technology—all of which are highly significant in enhancing the quality of life, civilization, and human dignity.
